NTSB investigating Joby plane crash – TechCrunch


The Nationwide Transportation Security Board is investigating the crash of a Joby Aviation experimental plane on Wednesday in Jolon, California.

The incident concerned a prototype that was being remotely piloted throughout flight testing at Joby’s check base in California, in response to regulatory filings. Throughout the early testing section of plane, the Federal Aviation Administration typically requires plane to be unmanned for security causes.

There have been no accidents within the crash, and the check was performed in an uninhabited space, the corporate reported.

“Experimental flight check applications are deliberately designed to find out the boundaries of plane efficiency, and accidents are sadly a chance,” reads the submitting. “We can be supporting the related authorities in investigating the accident completely.”
